Electrical Construction Company has been selected to perform a total upgrade and replacement of both the primary and secondary power distribution systems for the Oregon State Penitentiary.
Our scope includes a complete replacement of the primary distribution system, a substantial upgrade of the secondary electrical distribution system and a minor lighting upgrade along with various other electrical and architectural tasks. Included in the electrical upgrade is the installation of two new 12,470 volt, 1,500 KW standby generators and paralleling medium voltage switchgear.
Located in Salem, Oregon, the OSP is Oregon's first state prison, built in Oregon City in 1842 and moved to Salem in 1866. The OSP Electrical Upgrade Project is scheduled to complete in late 2012.
